Custody

Self-custody vs. holding in-app

Miligram is built so the same allocated metal can be held two different ways, and you can move between them whenever you want. Neither is "more correct" — they suit different habits.

Holding in-app

Sign up with your email and buy, hold, and redeem from a simple account. There's no wallet to set up, no seed phrase to protect, and no gas to think about. This is the easiest path, and it's where most holders will stay.

Self-custody on Hedera

Withdraw $MILG or $MILS to your own Hedera wallet at any time. Once tokens are in your wallet, you hold the keys — you can trade on-chain, for example on SaucerSwap, independent of the Miligram app. This is the path for holders who want direct on-chain control.

Switching between them

Self-custody is optional, not a one-way door. You can withdraw to your own wallet, and move tokens back into your account later. Either way, the underlying claim is the same: one token, one milligram of allocated metal.
