Terms of Service

Draft — pending legal review (Baker): this page describes how Miligram is designed to work today. Final language, including governing law, dispute resolution, and liability terms, will be completed with outside counsel before Miligram is publicly available.

1. Acceptance of terms

By creating an account or otherwise using Miligram, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use Miligram.

2. What Miligram is

Miligram is a platform for buying, holding, and redeeming tokenized physical gold ($MILG) and silver ($MILS) on Hedera. One token represents one milligram of allocated metal held in vaulted storage. Tokens are redeemable for physical US Gold and Silver Eagles in whole-coin units, and can be withdrawn to a self-custodied Hedera wallet at any time. See How it works and Security for details.

3. Eligibility

Miligram is launching in the United States first, and availability is limited to supported states at launch. You must meet the minimum age and legal capacity requirements in your jurisdiction to use Miligram. The specific list of supported states and any additional eligibility restrictions are being finalized and will be published here once confirmed.

4. Not financial, legal, or tax advice

Nothing on this site or within Miligram is financial, legal, or tax advice. Information about pricing, fees, and mechanics is provided for informational purposes only. You are responsible for evaluating whether Miligram is appropriate for you, including any tax consequences of buying, holding, or redeeming tokens.

5. Fees

Miligram charges a 0.065% monthly holding fee on your token balance, a spread on buys and sells, and a premium on physical redemption. The holding fee is a cost of vaulting, insurance, and administration — it is never a yield, and Miligram does not pay interest on balances. Full details are on the Pricing page.

6. Accounts and verification

Using Miligram requires creating an account and completing identity verification. Providing accurate information is a condition of using the service, and Miligram may decline or discontinue service where verification cannot be completed or where required by law.

7. Custody and redemption

Metal backing your tokens is held in allocated, professionally vaulted storage. Redemption converts tokens into physical US Eagle coins in whole-coin units, subject to a redemption premium and shipping/handling. Redemption times may vary. You may instead withdraw tokens to your own Hedera wallet and hold them yourself; once withdrawn, tokens are outside of Miligram's account controls and self-custody risk applies.

8. Prohibited uses

You agree not to use Miligram to:

  • Violate any applicable law or regulation.
  • Facilitate money laundering, terrorist financing, or sanctions evasion.
  • Misrepresent your identity or provide false verification information.
  • Interfere with or attempt to compromise the security of the platform.

9. Risk acknowledgment

Owning tokenized metal carries risks, including price volatility of the underlying metal, custody and counterparty risk, and technology risk. See Disclosures for the full list of risk factors before using Miligram.

10. Limitation of liability

Specific liability limitations, warranty disclaimers, and indemnification terms are being finalized with outside counsel and will be published here before Miligram is publicly available. No specific liability cap or warranty position should be assumed from the absence of this language today.

11. Governing law and disputes

Governing law, venue, and dispute resolution terms (including any arbitration provisions) are pending review by outside counsel (Baker) and will be added here prior to public launch.

12. Changes to these terms

Miligram may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated revision date once this page is finalized.

13. Contact

Questions about these terms can be sent through the Contact page.
